...everyday is exactly the same...

Well, several things have happened. The weekend was great – Heather had an awesome time on her trip, and I hung out with Nix for almost the whole weekend.

    05. I'll tell you the most memorable moment I've had with you.
    06. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.

grow the fuck up - Quill's version (a.k.a. the Mueller-gate Scandal)

(click on the title to see read Beaver's bitching about Erich)

Erich’s bachelor party turned out to not be a complete waste of time – only PARTIALLY lame, about 70%. Erich thinks it was the end-all, beat-all of bachelor parties, though, so at least the guy had fun on his “last” night out. However, he kept mentioning how his partying was “1,000 times better than Quill’s [mine]”, which means that he was thinking about beating me and being in competition with me the whole night. That’s pretty damn pathetic…it’s bad enough he specifically requested that his party trump mine; I would have thought that one would have too much fun during a bachelor party to worry about petty high-school shit like that. (But then again, I’m not Erich “Milstadt” Mueller, Queen of Competition & Immaturity.)

By Beaver’s account, Erich’s party paled in comparison…I think a party is a party, myself. But, I nonetheless find it amusing that Erich thought it a point to turn it into a ‘my cock is bigger than yours’ pissing contest – thus why I touched on it here. ;)

It’s really fucking low what Erich has done, though. He puts all this pressure on Beaver for the party and the speech, bitches about stuff all the time, obsessively spends the night of his bachelor party proclaiming that his was better than mine, gets pissed off at and shit-lists Nix for not attending and hanging out with me instead. And now, by all accounts, he’s leading my brother on about wanting to make amends. That’s all added on top of the fact that he ditched all his friends for bullshit reasons, and makes me his personal scapegoat for everything that went bad for him in that department.

He really is the biggest douche I’ve had the misfortune of meeting. I don’t say things like that lightly – you’d have to really prove to be a douche for me to name you so.

Anyway, this is all just recapping what Beaver said in his blog.

I wish Erich the best of luck in his marriage, and I hope it was worth it for him. After all, look at what he gave up for it…

It's been a laid back, easy going weekend. Heather went out of town to Indianapolis with Michelle, Becky, and her mom. I mostly hung out with Nix, but also saw Scuba, Joe, Dave, Corey, & Beaver, among a few others.

Erich's bachelor party was this weekend. I hope it was fun for him - from all accounts (Beaver and Chuck), it really sounded like it was going to be really, really boring LOL. Nix was supposed to go to the strip clubs with them, but they kinda screwed him on the pick up.

I got my Halo 18. It sounds awesome. :) I like the mixes on the single, and it sounds like something Spawn might do as far as remixing.

"Land of the Dead" was fucking wicked. Definitely a movie to go see if you're a fan of zombie movies in any capacity.

Now I'm waiting for Heather to get home. I miss her, and I really wanna see her. Sleeping alone is NOT all it's cracked up to be...

    Friday, Friday, Friday!!

Well, I WAS going to post a direct link to Beaver’s post from last night, but it’s gone. For reasons I don’t yet know, Dan removed the post. If you missed it, you missed a GOOD one (trust me, it was pretty brutal and direct). It was addressing Erich, and the gist of it was this:

“Erich, you’re putting pressure on me to give you the best speech ever; I’m not Scott or Steve, I can’t do that. You also put pressure on me to give you specific requests about your bachelor party (Growler’s, Westport, East St. Louis, etc.) – dammit, I’m not a millionaire, and I can’t afford your pricey requests. You will settle for the best I can deliver, or you can suck shit and die. For a guy who claims he doesn’t obsess about Steve, you sure don’t show it by bitching about him all the time and trying to turn your bachelor party into a competition to one-up him. You ditched all your friends, you’re an idiot for doing so and you have no concept of friendship.”

Mind you, the above isn’t word for word, just summarized verbatim – if you had read the full post, in Beaver’s own words, it would have read more brutal. He probably did it for fear that Erich would somehow stumble upon it and read it.

@Beaver: Damn, man…right on about telling it how it is. I wish I had copied it now…

Heather is going on a trip with her mom, sister, and Michelle this weekend. I’m not sure what I’m doing yet, but I’ll find something.

@Heather: Have an awesome weekend, lover – drive safe, and have lots of fun, and spend money on yourself because you deserve it! I love you and I will see you when you get home Sunday. :)

We had a mini-Christmas yesterday. Almost everything we’ve ordered came in at the same time. We also got two more DVDs from Walmart:

    - Books (there was a large stack of them; I don’t know which ones because it’s Heather’s book club)
    - Chimaira “The Impossibility of Reason” (CD)
    - Chimaira “Pass Out Of Existence” (CD)
    - Soulfly – “Soulfly” (CD)
    - Ciara “Goodies” [Heather’s]
    - A new Laser-Jet printer for our office
    - White Chicks (DVD)
    - Under Siege (DVD)
    - French Kiss (DVD) [Heather’s]

We’re still awaiting three more of my CDs, plus my “The Hand That Feeds” LE single (Halo 18)…and…

…Today, I did a ‘Buy It Now’ on Ebay for the Japanese import of “With Teeth”, with the three bonus tracks on it. That’s right – Halo 19 (JP) is now MINE. :)

Quilled Tunes: "Beg & Borrow" - Gravity Kills

Karl Rove is a propagandist, facist prick...pass it on.

Karl Rove: "(P)erhaps the most important difference between conservatives and liberals can be found in the area of national security. Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."

Basically what good ol' Rove is trying to say is - liberals, and by association Democrats, are 'terrorist sympathizers'. Meaning if you're not a republican with uber-conservative stances on things - you are of the opinion that terrorists should be granted lieniency. This is bullshit; Rove said it because he's trying to gain favor for Republicans/conservatives over Democrats/liberals.

There's a petition going around to get this guy to publicly apologize, and possibly FIRE his fat-cat ass. Check it out...

    -------------------------------------

    Dear Friend,

I hope you will join me right now in signing an open letter to the President urging him to thoroughly reject Karl Rove's purposeful attack on the patriotism of those who dare ask the tough questions that best protect American troops.

    http://www.johnkerry.com/petition/rove.php

    Dear President Bush,

In the days following the 9/11 attacks, you movingly spoke of the unity of purpose emanating all across America. Now, Karl Rove, your top political aide, wants us to believe that you weren't telling the truth -- that Americans were offering "therapy and understanding to the attackers." You cannot remain silent as your most senior advisor purposely twists the truth about a great moment of American unity for political gain.

It isn't the first time Karl Rove has crossed the line. It needs to be the last. I call on you to thoroughly reject his cheap, divisive efforts to challenge the patriotism of your political opponents. It's time to fire Karl Rove.

    http://www.johnkerry.com/petition/rove.php

    Thank you.

...some fun, some facts, and some shout-outs...

Let’s kick it up a notch and start you guys out with some fun stuff as an appetizer to today’s entry, shall we?
  • Watch this dude get knocked the fuck out…

  • Play the “Mind Me Bloody Pint” game…

  • If you like seeing people get hurt, THIS is your cup of tea! Hilarious!

  • This is different, but still amusing nonetheless…

  • MORE people getting hurt hehe…

  • When I watch THIS one, I can’t help but picture Joe Dimitro, Nate Berry, Justin Stamper, and Jay Winkleman…

  • Wasn’t that a lot of fun? I thought so too…

The archiving has begun on my CDs. EAC is working like a friggin’ dream. Gotta love it. I don’t have very much done as of right now, but then again, I haven’t had a dedicated mp3 ripping session yet. When all is said and done, it will be awesome; especially with the way I’m formatting everything.

The new CDs should be here in the next week or so, and I’m looking forward to them. It’s been awhile since I concentrated on adding to my CD collection…

The Hand That Feeds Limited Edition Digipak single – Halo Eighteen – is officially MINE. I’m one Halo closer to completing my NIN collection. Nice!

The Loaf movie is slowly-but-surely progressing toward the time where we’ll actually begin doing some filming…shit, this thing is actually going to happen! Hell yeah!

@Joe: Congratulations on your new job at Core Engineering!
@Nix: Sorry that Epps fucked you over like that – not that it wasn’t expected, but…
@Scott: We’ll have to get together soon and discuss the mp3 archival/porn empire projects and how we’re going to do all this stuff. Call me.
@Beaver: Congrats on another paintball victory…
@Tom/Jon/Anna: Drop me an email about getting together this summer, I miss you guys.
@Everyone: Visit the Bug Juice Mega-Forum. Please.
@Erich/Toni: Congratulations re: your wedding – best of luck.

    Tuesday, June 21, 2005

Beaver, you need to read this and seriously consider it...

What to discuss today? So many options…

I’ll start with the obvious, just to get it out of the way:

    @Beaver:

Listen man, all this pressure being put on your head right now – being expected to give the world’s best speech and world’s greatest bachelor party that will be better than mine was – is total BULLSHIT. You are Erich’s last remaining friend, and he treats you like this. Telling someone, “You’re best man speech better be GOOD,” is one of the LOWEST moves a guy could pull on a friend. Placing high emphasis on “one-upping” another guys bachelor party is another really low move.

If you feel that you can suffer through this wedding as best man – or even part of it at all – then just DO THE BEST YOU CAN, and if Erich gives you shit about how it wasn’t “good enough” for him, fuck him.

HOWEVER – if you personally feel that you don’t want to do this anymore, and you honestly want out of this wedding…drop out. Do it, if you feel that way. Don’t let anyone tell you that it’s your responsibility to see it through to the end regardless of how you feel – it was Erich’s responsibility not to put you in this position and to be a good friend, and he hasn’t been living up to that. Make your OWN choice in this matter, and don’t let anyone fast talk you into sticking it out if it’s not something you REALLY want to do.

It’s YOUR choice. It has NOTHING to do with “responsibility”, or “seeing this through to the end”, or what should be done to make things “easier” on anyone else. Scott has already told you this, in his own way – and now I’m telling you in MY way.

We may have had our differences, but I’ve never put you in the kind of position that Erich is putting you in now. (Some people might tell you I'm only saying this stuff because I have it "in" for Erich in some way - don't listen. What I say I say because you are my friend, and you should do what you WANT, not what others tell you is "proper".)

    (End)

Now that we have that taken care of…yesterday, we went to dinner at O’Charley’s with Joe, Angel, and Scuba. Then we hung out for a bit at Joe and Angel’s, and then went to Suson Park for a bit. It was a really fun time.

I recently saw the movies “Dead Birds”, “Batman Begins”, and “Boogeyman”. I liked all three of these movies, ESPECIALLY “Batman Begins”. Christian Bale is a really good Batman, he doesn’t beat Keaton, but he’s neck and neck with him. I highly recommend that everyone go to see this movie.

July 2nd will be another party at our place, for the people who were out of town or couldn’t attend the last one. Keep in mind, the food spread won’t be anywhere near what it was June 11th, but we’ll have some stuff for you guys. Mark your calendars.

The mp3 archiving begins tonight (somewhat). EAC will be my tool of choice for this job, and 192 kbps will be the mark to hit. That basically means really awesome sound quality…and in the coming months? The “server”, which will hold the music, game ROMs, and other files used in Quillcade and around our home.

@Heather: Last night was amazing. Yeah, it might be bragging posting it on my blog, but if you can’t brag about THAT, what can you brag about? :P

(Thanks to Nix for one of the funniest things I've read today...)

...sound of retarded, OOOOOOOO be thy name...

Does anybody else think Beaver's whole onomatopoeia-esque OOOOOOOOOOOOOO thing has transcended way past it's initial amusing nature into slightly creepy?

...this is your brain...and THIS is your brain on DUMB...just say NO to dumb...

What is it about controversy that makes it so darn apt to come to pass?

@Beaver: I'm so sorry...I wish you didn't have all that pressure on you, much less have to continue to deal with the mass immaturity/stupidity of certain individuals.

I'm not just talking about inter-group shit. I'm also including national and global scale debacles as well.

Why? You'd think common sense would kick in at some point...hell, even common DECENCY.

Some right-wing asshole now proposes the ideal to repeal the 22nd Amendment - the one that limits a President to only serving a maximum of two terms in office - which might mean more of good ol' George W. Bitch.

The only motivation I can think of for this is: We've run our once-great nation to the brink of ruin and disgrace - why not finish what was started and let Monkey McStupid (Bush) stick around?

Ah well...at least I have Gravity Kills, Hednoize, Celldweller, Fear Factory, and Nine Inch Nails to help sooth the savagery that flows throughout my everyday life. :)

Thursday. (this 'day of the week' title pattern will end after tomorrow, I promise)

Turns out, I was wrong again. What I said on Tuesday about things being quiet on the high school bullshit front was incorrect; it's not that things had stopped, I just wasn't hearing about them for a few days. You've gotta admire the dedication to doing it all day, every day, though. Wait, on second thought, no you don't. (It's not of grave enough importance to explain...if you need to know, or I want you to know, you will be told soon enough.)

I'm going to be receiving six new CDs VERY soon, and Heather is also recieving one as well, four of which were free. They're listed below, along with other recent purchases that occured last night (I love new stuff):

    Soulfly - Soulfly (CD)
    Chevelle - Point #1 (CD)
Chimaira - Pass Out Of Existence (CD)
Chimaira - The Impossibility Of Reason (CD)
Killswitch Engage - Alive Or Just Breathing (CD)
Spineshank - Self Destructive Pattern (CD)
    Eraser (DVD)
    Assassins (DVD)
    Rush Hour (DVD)
    Ciara - Goodies (Heather's CD)

There's also some other goodies forthcoming, so stay tuned for that...

Just as Scott is compiling an MP3 archive, so am I - for the MP3 jukebox portion of Quillcade. He and I are, of course, swapping our archives, so I am also going to be requesting some archival time with most of you as well. I've already spoken to many of you off-blog about this matter, but I'm posting it anyway.

In case some of you don't know what a Quillcade is, it's an "arcade" machine that I'm going to be constructing (with a LOT of help from Joe; actually, since I don't know what I'm doing, it's more like he'll be getting a little help from ME) that will act as an arcade game machine/MP3 jukebox/karaoke station - which I am calling Quillcade. The goal of the MP3 part is to have as wide a variety as possible to select from at parties, thus eliminating any disputes over what to play.

(Joe B. is really fucking cool with the way he's going to help me do this; if it wasn't for him, it probably couldn't happen as I am technologically retarded when it comes to actually building something like this. Eternal kudos and mucho thanks in advance, Joseph.)

I know the post before this one is political, and I apologize. I felt the need to post it because, really, I grew up watching shows like Mister Rogers and Sesame Street, and feel things like that are essential to at least very young children. And now, their trying to cut those kind of public entertainment down. Like Spawn says: Don't we have better fights to fight? If you would, just take a few scant seconds and sign your name to the petition (which you can get to by clicking on the title of this blog)...please.

    Save NPR and PBS

Subject: This time, it's for real: Save NPR and PBS

    Hi,

You know that email petition that keeps circulating about how Congress is slashing funding for NPR and PBS? Well, now it's actually true. (Really. Check at the bottom if you don't believe me.)

Sign the petition telling Congress to save NPR and PBS:

  • A House panel has voted to eliminate all public funding for NPR and PBS, starting with "Sesame Street," "Reading Rainbow," and other commercial-free children's shows. If approved, this would be the most severe cut in the history of public broadcasting, threatening to pull the plug on Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and Oscar the Grouch.

The cuts would slash 25% of the federal funding this year—$100 million—and end funding altogether within two years. The loss could kill beloved children's shows like "Clifford the Big Red Dog," "Arthur," and "Postcards from Buster." Rural stations and those serving low-income communities might not survive. Other stations would have to increase corporate sponsorships.

    Wednesday.

I now own Nine Inch Nails "With Teeth", and am missing five of the halos. Of course, I'm also missing the alternates and imports. We'll see about getting those soon, though.

I have four free CDs waiting for me with BMG Music Club (less shipping, of course). I've selected a few, now there's only the matter of which ones to actually get.

Yesterday was hanging out with Scott and Amanda. It was fun, relaxing just to sit around and chill out.

Now that we have high speed internet, I can begin the massive CD archiving for the purposes of the MP3 Jukebox portion of Quillcade. Things are slowly falling into place, my friends. It's just a matter of time and patience now.

    Tuesday.

Well, if you haven't heard already, Michael Jackson was charged not guilty for all counts against him.

Some people I know were initially outraged by this. I admit that Jackson is an uber-creepy guy, but the simple fact of the matter is, there was no evidence that he did anything sexual with those kids. I mean, isn't it also odd that the parents who sent their kid there sent him there after his questionable past with this sort of thing? And then later try to get money from him? I gotta say, I'm really agreeing with the verdict on this one, simply because if a guy is a pedophile, you would think there would be some sort of evidence somewhere.

Nine Inch Nails is coming to St. Louis on October 14th to the Savvis Center. Sounds fun. Hopefully, we can get a group together to go. Nails shows are always excellent.

There has been a question about Fourth of July festivities this year, and whether there will be another "bomb" built. I haven't heard anything. I think after that one super-bomb from a few years back, there's no topping it short of an actual bomb. That's just my opinion though - I could be wrong.

(And just so no one from the FBI comes after me for being a terrorist, the term "bomb" refers to my best friend's annual construction of a large paper grocery bag filled with countless bottle rockets and other fireworks, set to go off all at once, in a safe location within the limits of fireworks-legal Arnold, Missouri.)

Miracle of miracles, things have been ominously silent on the high school drama front. This means that those few people who usually start shit have either grown up (HIGHLY unlikely) or are too busy to generate any kind of trouble (very highly likely). Either way, it's nice to have a reprieve from it for the moment. :)

I have been made a Moderator for a website called Comixtreme. Visit it, please.

Also, the Bug Juice Mega-Forum has now been upgraded to the newest version of Proboards. All that means is things work slightly differently on the staff end, and look differently to all other members.

That's all I really have to report. You now have my permission to leave my blog. You're welcome. :)

    Monday.

Well, again I'd like to thank everyone who came to the party. It was a huge success. I learned many things from Saturday, such as:

    - Andrea "Meddle Hizzy" likes Hanson (a.k.a. "MMMM-Bop Metal") [according to her good friend, Jason "Yoda"]

    - Beaver would make a horrible-looking raccoon

    - Mixing varying hard liquors, jello-shots, and varying beer is NOT wise unless you have an endless supply of burgers available to you

    - Certain people are reportedly WAY more bitter about certain things that I ever imagined

    - Certain people CAN get along and have a good time together at a party, so long as the law is laid down to them from the start

    - In terms of pure drinking and alcohol consumption abilities go, Heather is the champion; PERIOD

    - The "Quilldetto" is a highly tasty mixed drink that will be up there with Mike-N-Ike and Annihilator

    :)

    Prologue

Heather's party went off without a hitch. Actually, it was excellent.

Thank you to everyone that was able to make it and have an awesome time. Corey, I'm sorry that I was not more hospitable when you arrived...

Heather mentioned that I said I was never drinking like that again - and yes, I did say that. I'll probably drink like that again at some point after I forget how shitty this feels, and then I'll be wishing I hadn't then, too.

It's not fair, really. I think that the hangover that doesn't go to my wife finds ME and doubles my torment for me. Heather drank more than anyone else at the party and she didn't get sick or anything. I dare anyone that says they can out-drink Heather to actually try it - I promise that she'll kick your ass and look awesome doing it. ;)

Anyway, the party was an awesome time, and today I feel like utter shit...so now I'm going to end this blog and continue to recover.

P.S. We'll have pictures posted soon.

    High-speed DSL is awesome!!

Oh, and the party is today. T-minus 9.5 hours and counting...

    EotY/TotY 2005 Eve

Tomorrow is the party. Should be lots of fun. Come one, come all (save for a few).

Went to karaoke last night. Had fun. Sung a bunch of songs. Corey bought me a drink called a "Bomb Pop", which was tasty as hell. Kristin and Jess Stamper showed up. So did Frannie. I talked with them all.

Tonight is the final cleaning of the apartment for the party. Then, who knows...maybe some movie watching? We'll see what goes down.

Oh, and before I forget, some digs/public service announcements:

Next time you go to Hizzy's apartment, bring a battering ram with you. It's the only way you'll get in there. Additionally, Nix needs to start pinning his keys to the front of his shirt like they usually pin mittens on grade schoolers. Ya know, just in case he gets locked out and doesn't have his battering ram. Also, DO NOT hire Justin to be an exterminator, especially for fire ants, if you don't want your worldly belongings to be charred and UBER-well-done. Also, don't hire him to be a garbage man, a dishwasher, or a babysitter in the winter months.

    Until tomorrow, kids...

    Happy Fun-Time. Weeee!! Part II

It also doesn't help when your bid is due at 2:00 pm, it's about half an hour drive, and you can't finish typing your proposal because one of your subs is "dawdling" on faxing their number to you, and it's 1:35. (And we didn't even USE it after waiting for it.)

But, bid turned in, with a scant 5 minutes to spare.

    And...relax.

    Happy Fun-Time. Weeee!!

I love my job. I really, really, really love my job.

And I recently discovered that I have a completely amazing adaptability skill. In short, I can roll with some super-substantial punches and assimilate to things that I've never done or experienced before, and come out at least on or slightly above par.

But dammit if it isn't stressful when I get an ENTIRE project thrown at me after months of just doing estimate take off assists only. (I can see and understand the motive behind it; it just sucks for me to have to do it on the fly like this flying blind.)

At least I'm getting further proof that my whirlwind, rather abbreviated, and "trial" education with the then-fledgling Industrial Management program as SMSU wasn't all for naught.

There are several bright sides, and some obvious downsides to doing it this way. It both sucks and does not suck at all simultaneously.

I think next time though, I'll try to see if I can ease into these things more...

...for once, drama that doesn't target ME...

Click on the title of this blog to watch a hilarious flash animation (and it has little to NOTHING to do with political content, it’s just funny – I swear on my Gravity Kills collection).

Well, the beat goes on. And – surprise of surprises – for once, I’m going to report on a controversy that doesn’t have me as the focus!

Amber has dropped out of Toni and Erich’s wedding. Why? Well, almost everyone Amber knows hates her choice in boyfriend, John Shelly. The Meddle Hizzy explained to me some of the reasons this guy is so hated (and it sounded like she was lobbying for ME to hate him as well). Toni apparently gave Amber a request (which was an ultimatum-in-disguise) – she didn’t want John Shelly at her wedding. This “request” – combined with other factors that I know about but won’t go into – caused Amber to say ‘fuck this’ and pull out of the wedding.

    *Begin personal opinion interjection*

In my personal opinion, I think that, while pulling out of the wedding in such an abrupt manner might have been a rash way of taking her stand [*retraction to this statement posted, see comments*], Amber is justified. She has all her friends telling her whom to date, instead of being given support for her decision. [And, since I KNOW it’ll be brought up – Meddle Hizzy already did it, in fact – that is NOT what was done to Erich. Erich was told that we supported the fact that he loved Toni despite the fact that we didn’t particularly take to her; he made the choice to drop nearly all of us anyway.]

If Scott had wanted to bring Sarah K. to the wedding (and still been dating her), I would be completely fine with that, no question. Anyone who knows anything knows that I really never liked Sarah K. at all, but if my best friend had still been dating her, she would have been welcome at my wedding in support of my FRIEND with open arms.

When you’re someone’s friend, and your friend so-obviously loves someone you don’t necessarily like, you support him or her anyway. Because that’s what a friend is supposed to DO. That’s what friendship IS. (But then, maybe that’s a difficult concept for SOME people to grasp. Not naming any names, just saying.)

@Amber: Congratulations on taking a stand for yourself and your relationship. You have my support, and Heather’s as well I’m sure.

*End personal opinion interjection* [And no, that isn't a biased post due to some kind of "Erich/Toni hate" that I have - I would say the same for anyone being put in that position.]

I just got a shit-load of clothes from Heather’s mom. Clothes they aren’t using anymore, and in like-new condition. We’re talking jeans, some name brand shirts and pants (Tommy, Nautica, etc.), and even some nice dress shirts. Heather also bought me “Demolition Man” on DVD. Life is awesome.

Lest we not forget Heather’s annual party coming up. You all know the drill by now. There will also be ANOTHER party in the weeks after that so that those people who were absent – people like Nix and Scott – can party down as well. Nice!

Quill’s Final Thought (of the Blog):

It's so easy to condemn someone for dislike of your partner (or condemn someone of dislike of a friend's partner), and then turn around and do it yourself.

...got to admit it's getting better...

    :)

    Karma is completely AWESOME!!

(Do THAT one better, why don't you?) LOL!

    ...

Anyway, the weekend was good. Had some people over Saturday - Scuba, Scott, Corey, and Beaver. We discussed many things, and discovered many things, too. Sunday I went to see Episode III with my dad and Dave. It's better on the big screen...

@Meddle Hizzy: Sorry for messing with you and upseting you Saturday night. We were only joking around.

9 more movies have been added to the DVD collection list:

The Batman Legacy (all 4 movies; just $25 at Wal-Mart)
    Dumb & Dumber
    The Wedding Singer
Night of the Living Dead (original)
    Demolition Man
    Devil's Advocate (SE)

We have our DSL and router system all hooked up and ready to go. Now all we have to do is wait for the DSL service to kick in and we'll be networked and ready to rock. Score! Now MY archival of CDs can begin, and then Scott and I will swap. I love it when a plan comes together...

Saturday the 11th of June is coming up fast now. Heather's big End-of-the-Year/Teacher-of-the-Year party...food, games, drinks, the BEST times...

Like I said before - everything is coming up roses!

    TGIF

    Things are good. Somewhat.

Saw "Riding The Bullet" at Scott's last night. I liked it. Arquette was really good in it.

I got a quote back from a place that makes custom patches. For an order of 50, it's around $200. I'm going to explore more options - $200 is a lot for a personalized insignia.

I'm happy that Nix seems to be making some progress. Now all that's left for him to do is for him and the Meddle Hizzy to settle their situation one way or the other...

Speaking of the Meddle Hizzy - I'm glad her most recent Scarlet Whore trip went well.

Supposedly, this whole Kristin thing really might be a miscommunication. I'm not trusting anything from the "dark side", though. Both Beaver and Kristin both went along with the last scheme (regardless of how they felt about it), so it's a tad difficult to discern what's fact and what's fiction coming from that side. In short - I'm only given benefit of the doubt in a VERY limited way to both of them.

Other than that, Heather's party is quickly approaching. Get your party hats ready. We're not sure just how many people will be there. Regardless of the quantity of people, the quality of the party will be [one of] the best ever.

DVDs, DVDs everywhere, but not enough cash to get them all at once...

Damn, there are a shitload of DVDs coming out that I'm going to want to buy.

And all that added on top of the list I already have.

    Fuck. It never ends.

I need to look into getting a DVD burner and just pirating the DVDs that aren't "must-have" items...

    ;)

Quill Says: What? I had to put SOMETHING to move that explanation down from the top of my blog. :)

Apparently, there's some concern that I may have hastily...

...accused Kristin of doing something against myself and Heather without actually confirming it.

    I have not.

I said that IF Kristin actually said it, and was serious about it - IF Beaver was being truthful and was correct - then yeah, I'm pissed.

IF it's NOT true, then no big deal, misunderstanding.

However, I don't put anything past that circle of people right now, given that everyone who knew about the last plan participated in it regardless of their personal opinions about it. Nix and Scuba were the only two "in the know" that had the balls to do the right thing. Period. Since I'm seeing an emerging trend of using Heather as some sort of Achilles heel, I also addressed THAT issue.

In short, Kristin, IF all of this is some big misunderstanding - then that's all it will be as far as I'm concerned.

    Hump-Day Happenings

Hung out with Dave and Joe yesterday. Joe is helping me to design the Quill sigul, which I will try to either get embroidered or made into a patch for sword-fighting attire and other things. What he's come up with so far is EXCELLENT.

@Dave: Like I told you last night, I'm extremely proud of the headway you've been making. Keep up the awesome work, you can do this.

I've gotten a bunch of supportive comments on my last two blogs. I'm just glad to have them. And Scott's right, even though I was out of line in a way, sometimes children need to be spanked. The children analogy is SO PERFECT it's not even funny...

@Scott: Sorry you had to come home from your vacation to this bullshit (but then again, it's sadly expected at this point).

@Everyone: Thank you for the support. I really appreciate it.

I still need to rebuild my swords. That Buster sword is going to be the major one - I finally know how to make it lighter at the top and construct it even more solidly.

@Jon and/or Tom: Email me, call me, contact me in some way so that we may arrange visits and sword-fighting time.

Anyway, that's all for the moment. Carry on. :)

    Wednesday, June 01, 2005

Sorry about the drama-imbued topics over the last few days, everyone. I guess I just had some things I needed to vent/write about.

I threatened to use violent means, too, which was out of line. Often the whole "strength" thing goes to my head when I'm backed into a corner and words don't work, so I start "puffing up" and acting all big and bad. I've never INTENTIONALLY harmed anyone with my strength due to the fact that when it comes down to it, I'm just not a violent guy. I assure you that I would only use violence as an extreme last resort.

Everything is going to be coming up roses soon. Promise. :)

I'll post more later today. For now, it's take-off time...
