My condolences go out to those who have to attend things they would rather not attend today, and tomorrow. To everyone else, have an awesome time! To Erich and Toni, congratulations and I wish you both the best and all the happiness possible in the world.
:)
Heather is going on a girl's night tonight in Greenville, IL. I'm hanging with Scuba Steve and Ben.
@Heather: Drive safely and have fun, my love.
Last night, Heather and I went with Becky and her friends to the Budwieser Brewery to watch "Road Trip" outside. It was pretty damn cool. Thankfully, the weather outside was completely bearable, and I wasn't uncomfortable in the least. Joe, Angel, Jason, Nate, and Chuck were also there, and we talked to them a little while we were there.
@Nix: I'm sorry I didn't make it to karaoke - it was around 11 by the time we got home, and I was very tired. I totally appreciate the thought of reserving a song for me, and I'm definitely taking you up on that at the next opportunity...
This coming Sunday, we're going to be having people over. I'm not sure if we'll go anywhere, or just chill at our place, but it should be fun. Oh yes, speaking of us having people over to chill:
Our neighbors that live right below us have a definite problem with all the cigarettes that are tossed off the side of our balcony. I don't blame them. We have an ash tray, and Heather and I would request that those of you who smoke please use it, and please - PLEASE - do NOT throw your cigarettes off the balcony anymore. If any of you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. My door is always open (even though I'm a total dick, ya know?)...
I won both "March Of The Pigs" Nine Inch Nails CDs, as well as the "Live" AND "Still" 2-CD set of "And All That Could Have Been" from Ebay. Needless to say, I'm done Ebaying for awhile now.
I've begun the arduous-yet-fun task of archiving and better organizing ALL of my Gravity Kills stuff. EAC is a godsend in terms of ripping those radio promo interview discs I have (no other program seemed to be able to do it). So far, all is going GREAT.
Speaking of Gravity Kills...there are whisperings on the old-but-not-yet-dead Gravity Kills message board that Jeff Scheel and Kurt Kerns have been working on a DVD - from Mr. Scheel himself, no less. While this might not be the end-all-beat-all of news bits to anyone else, to ME it is like discovering a gold mine!
On another front, we have some new DVDs in the collection. Just a few:
- Grumpy Old Men (Heather's)
- The Fan
- Sleepwalkers
Two of my very good friends need to be addressed:
@Andrea: Don't categorize yourself as a 'selfish human' like that. At times, you try way too hard to be liked; you also hate being left out of things (like guy's nights); and yeah, you do smother Nix a bit, but it's only because you care, not because you're "mean". You're a good person when it comes down to it, and you shouldn't lose sight of that.
@Nix: It was probably the beer giving voice to your darkest thoughts last night; because I know you're not one to just go off like that. True, there was a lot of stuff bottled up, but it was bottled because most of it was worthy of just muttering about and leaving it at that. Still, as your friend, I would think you still nonetheless owe Andrea an apology. She's given you a place to sleep; she bought you the Friday the 13th box set; she's carted you around to and from work and to various other places, spending gas and miles on her car. She's done for you, despite the fact that she drives you nuts sometimes, and she deserves the respect of an "I'm sorry" at least. She did NOT deserve to be berated to that extent, bro. At least, that's what I think.
That's not me saying that you had no right to be angry about the things you yelled at her for. That's not me saying that you're the "bad guy" in all of this, either. That's me being a friend - to you and Andrea both - and pointing out that despite all her faults and failings in regards to you and other things, that Hizzy is a good person at her core and a good FRIEND overall. And, booze-induced or not, it was still over the limit as to what she was deserving of.
@Hizzy & Nix: I love you guys. You're my buddies.

2 Comments:
I totally agree. And I have apologized. Yeah, I went overboard. And, BTW, sorry you had to see that, Beav.
Nix says: You can call me DarkNix.
BTW, that's also me being a total and complete dick to both you and Andrea, as well as everyone else.
Because I'm just a horrible person. :)
LOL!
