...many topics of note...

I don’t have a picture of the QUILLCADE marquee. However, I have a printout of it. It…looks…awesome. It seems a long way off before it actually happens; heck, some people might not think it’s GOING to happen at all. But it will. And when it does, all will be welcome to come and enjoy it. It will be a most awesome arcade machine. Maybe not THE most awesome, but it’ll be among the top ten in the whole world.

@Hizzy: Sorry about the ‘softcore’ and ‘mild’ comments…I’m just giving you shit. (Or am I?)
@Scott & T-Bob: Sucks that you guys have to be gone for 3 weeks. Drive carefully and good luck on the sales front!
@Heather: I’m sorry I treated you like Snoopy last night. (Don’t ask, long story.)

Another day, another conflict on the Council blog. This time, it is yet another case of Mandy telling me I don’t “understand” certain life situations. It’s apparent now that she’ll never get out of that mindset. Oh well. Vince and others on the Council would say, “Just drop it, man; why does it matter what Mandy says?” and they’re right; it DOESN’T matter what Mandy says (to me, at least). It’s the principle of the matter, however. Just because someone hasn’t lived through what you have lived through, doesn’t mean they have no understanding of the situation. I would argue that to my grave. In typical Mandy fashion, she resorted to ‘fuck yous’ and whatnot. Sometimes, I question the worth of even responding to her, since all I get is ‘shut up’ anyway. I guess that’s her idea of being ‘mature’ and ‘adult’, huh?

Hung out at Scott’s last night. Joe, T-Bob, and Dave were also there. We watched the classic Dracula with the new symphonic track on it. It was pretty damn sweet! We also reviewed what’s down on paper so far for Meatloaf, and that is also pretty damn sweet. Overall, it was a really good time over there. T-Bob and I talked horror/monster movies; he has much knowledge of the horror genre. And, best part, we agree on almost everything horror-wise. He liked House of 1000 Corpses though, which I do not understand (you couldn’t make a worse movie if you tried really hard), but to each his own…

Halloween is just around the corner. I’ve always loved Halloween. Don’t get me wrong, Christmas, Thanksgiving, July 4th…they’re all great. But Halloween is just a step above the rest. I need to figure out what I’m doing this year. I haven’t heard of any parties going on, except for Michelle’s parents’. Concerts are going on (Slayer, a fave of T-Bob’s), but I’m going to be doing what Heather wants to do as well. Maybe we can get a party going. I will look into it.

Quote of the Blog: “There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse! As I have often found in travelling in a stagecoach, that it is often a comfort to shift one's position, and be bruised in a new place.” – Washington Irving

Quilled Tunes: “Machination” - Nothingface

Joke of the Blog: A kangaroo kept getting out of his enclosure at the zoo. Knowing that he could hop high, the zoo officials put up a ten-foot fence. He was out the next morning, just roaming around the zoo. A twenty-foot fence was put up. Again he got out. When the fence was forty feet high, a camel in the next enclosure asked the kangaroo, "How high do you think they'll go?"
The kangaroo said, "About a thousand feet, unless somebody locks the gate at night!"

Thanks for the heads up. I was not aware there was another spelling for it.

I was going to be a smart-ass and nickname you 'spell-nazi', but I won't.

HARDCORE HIZZY!!!!
